To apply you will must:

• Have previous knowledge and background in health and social care (minimum of 5 years experience in care) 

• A minimum of NVQ level 4

• Have good organisational and time management skills

• A clear understanding of CQC requirements

• Have experience and be available for out of hours oncall phone- 1 weekend in 4 minimum (currently would be 1 in 6 weekends), possibly 1-2 nights during the week (this does include additional pay)

• Have transport to get to and from clients/emergencies (e.g. bike, car, happy to walk or get the bus, ect)

• Have good self-motivation and leadership skills

• Be able to work to budgets

Brief description of Field Supervisor Manager role involves:

• To complete all responsibilities of a community carer

• To be responsible for out of hours oncall phone as mentioned above. While being oncall you must be on hand to cover sickness and deal with any issues that may arise

• Complete client assessments and or reviews as and when needed

• Problem-solve issues in the community with clients and carers

• Liaise with GP's, OT's, Physios, Social workers, and any other health care professionals

• Complete spot checks and supervisions as and when needed

• Develop and oversee all day to day operations, monitor and review quality audits and implement ongoing plans for improvement

• Undertake training and development to keep up to date with the latest industry practice and changes in company policy

The right candidate will have the full support of the Owner and Registered Fit Person, two Registered Manager's and a dependable, loyal, management team. It will be your responsibility to organise and motivate your entire team of staff. You will need to have a clear understanding of person centred care, interpersonal skills and quality customer service. In return you'll have the support of a team that is always prepared to go that extra mile for their Deputy Manager.

 

Handle With Care has a supportive team of staff and the Field Supervisor will be responsible for encouraging this ethos and giving hands on support to them.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference not just to the company but also the development of care in the community. The company and the owner is often involved in new and exciting pilots schemes with Portsmouth City Council. You will have the opportunity to not only be involved in these schemes but also to identify and develop new ones.
